Guide des droits sur Internet is an independent resource focused on digital rights, privacy, and online security. We started this project back in 2018 after realizing how tough it was for people in Canada and beyond to find clear, trustworthy answers about keeping their data and online rights safe.
The idea really came from everyday life. Friends and colleagues would ask the same questions over and over: “How do I know if this site is safe?” or “What happens to my personal info when I sign up?” It was clear there wasn’t one reliable place to turn to. So we decided to create this directory as a kind of go-to reference, pulling together the basics of digital safety in one spot.
Today, our small team brings different strengths to the table: from digital media and law to cybersecurity. We’ve also got writers who know the iGaming space well, which is important because it’s one of the areas where licensing, data protection, and user safety are constantly put to the test.
